Senior Agent Software Engineer

About the role

Assort Health is developing AI agents to manage patient interactions and reduce administrative overhead in the healthcare sector. We are looking for senior engineers to help scale our voice and generative AI systems as we expand our team from 15 to 250 people. You will work directly with founders to build products that handle complex patient data and care protocols.

• Build and scale generative AI and voice transcription features from initial concept to production.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on architectural decisions and product development.
• Design software solutions that meet strict HIPAA and security compliance standards.
• Engage directly with healthcare providers to refine tools based on real-world clinical needs.
• Operate with high autonomy in an agile environment to deploy updates rapidly.

Requirements

• 4 to 8+ years of professional software engineering experience at high-growth startups or major tech firms.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain production-grade systems.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including design, development, testing, and support.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a history of building products from the ground up.
