About the role
Armada is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be crucial in designing and implementing our on-premise Compute as a Service (CaaS) and GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) solutions. Your work will involve creating a scalable infrastructure platform that supports our engineering teams in deploying and managing applications effectively.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Participate in the architectural design and execution of a scalable CaaS and GPUaaS platform on our on-premise bare metal clusters.
- Integrate essential technologies into our stack, including hypervisors like KVM, container runtimes such as Docker and containerd, orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and GPU virtualization technologies including Kubevirt and vGPU.
- Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for the CaaS and GPUaaS platform.
- Optimize the performance and resource utilization of our bare metal infrastructure.
- Aid in the design and development of a cloud-integrated marketplace for deploying applications on our on-premise infrastructure.
- Build backend services and API integrations for the marketplace.
- Create secure and efficient workflows for application deployment.
- Integrate the marketplace with existing cloud services and infrastructure.
- Maintain thorough documentation for the marketplace.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Engage in technical design and code reviews.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product management.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or software development.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing CaaS and/or GPUaaS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with bare metal infrastructure and hardware management.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Background in designing and implementing marketplaces or similar platforms.
- Proficient programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Nice to have
- Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Knowledge of GPU virtualization and management.
- Familiarity with distributed storage systems.
- Understanding of security best practices in both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $157,600 to $197,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the salary, equity and subsidized benefits are offered (details available upon request).
