Senior Security Engineer at Armada.
About the role
Armada is building a hyperscaler for edge computing, providing modular AI infrastructure for global energy and defense sectors. We are looking for a senior engineer to own our security strategy across Azure, hybrid systems, and edge environments. This is a hands-on position requiring technical leadership in application security, Kubernetes hardening, and AI/ML workload protection.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect security strategy for Azure, hybrid, and edge deployments.
- Manage SIEM, EDR/XDR, WAF, and CSPM/CNAPP tooling.
- Lead incident response and serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling for services.
- Integrate automated security gates into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and IaC scanning.
- Secure the software supply chain through artifact signing, SBOM generation, and dependency management.
- Define security policies aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Develop security frameworks for AI/ML model integrity and inference endpoint protection.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in CS or Cybersecurity with 8+ years of experience, or Master degree with 6+ years.
- 8+ years in information security, including 5+ years in cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with Azure security tools: Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Entra ID, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
- Experience securing production Kubernetes environments at scale.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL/KQL for automation and log analysis.
- Proven ability to lead incident response and mentor engineering teams.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Nice to have
- Experience securing edge or disconnected environments.
- Knowledge of AI/ML security, including OWASP Top 10 for LLM and MITRE ATLAS.
- Infrastructure-as-code skills using Terraform or Bicep.
- Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500, GCIH, GCIA, OSCP, OSWE, or similar.
- Background in FedRAMP or SOC 2 Type II audit cycles.

Practical notes
- Salary range: $157,596 to $196,995 USD.
- Compensation includes equity and subsidized benefits.

- This role is office-based in Bellevue, WA.
- U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.
