About the role

Arcesium is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This role focuses on creating and maintaining the foundational systems that support our applications. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain reliable infrastructure services that are essential for other engineering teams and customer-facing applications.
• Enhance our compute platform using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Create tools and automated solutions to optimize processes, minimize manual work, and boost efficiency, incorporating modern technologies including GenAI when applicable.
• Take charge of significant technology infrastructure, utilizing various tools and programming languages.
• Promote engineering best practices and contribute to process improvements, while defining and monitoring key metrics to prioritize impactful work.
• Collaborate within the broader Infrastructure team to support the foundation of our customer-facing platform.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in infrastructure roles, with a focus on what you have accomplished and your potential for growth.
• Demonstrated ownership of critical infrastructure systems, with a history of delivering features that enhance reliability and efficiency. Experience with systems like Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, DNS, or authentication services is essential.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with advanced skills in at least one. Familiarity with Python, Java, Go, and Bash is preferred.
• Experience managing critical workloads in AWS is highly desirable.
• Ability to balance timely delivery with accuracy, ensuring solutions are well-managed for business needs.
• A strong interest in technology infrastructure, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Nice to have

• Experience with GenAI technologies.

Practical notes

The anticipated annual base salary for this role ranges from $175,000 to $210,000. Our compensation package includes a year-end bonus guaranteed in the first year, medical and prescription coverage, and matching contributions to your 401k. The specific salary offered will be based on various factors, including your experience and educational background.
