Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Apptronik creates AI-driven humanoid robots designed to assist people across various sectors, including logistics and manufacturing. You will join the team focused on the Apollo platform to refine electrical systems and oversee the transition from design to mass production.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Establish and refine processes for design for manufacturing and test regarding wiring harnesses and PCBAs.
• Manage bill of materials, component sourcing, and substitutions in collaboration with the supply chain team.
• Partner with external vendors and internal manufacturing teams during design release and initial production runs.
• Perform root cause analysis on system performance issues and production bottlenecks to implement corrective actions.
• Create technical documentation for system deployment, field support, and assembly.
• Oversee compliance, EMI, EMC, reliability, and safety testing protocols.
• Manage engineering change orders and product lifecycle workflows.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with software and mechanical teams to integrate system upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Proficiency with product lifecycle management software, specifically Arena.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and perform standard office tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating assembly instructions and technical diagrams.

Skills & tools

• CAD software such as Altium.
• Development and maintenance of CAD design rules.
• Hardware debugging, prototyping, and PCBA design.
• Electronics lab equipment and simulation software like LTSpice or PSpice.

Practical notes

• Travel requirement is up to 10 percent for domestic and international trips.
