AI / Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Apogee Global RMS is hiring an engineer to create computer vision and machine learning systems for an enterprise client. You will build tools focused on security, identity verification, and automated data processing for cloud and mobile platforms.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Create models for object detection, image classification, OCR, and feature extraction.
• Build systems for real-time image quality assessment and intelligent data capture.
• Manage data pipelines for cleaning, labeling, and augmenting information.
• Tune models to run efficiently on mobile devices and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop security features including anomaly and fraud detection.
• Connect machine learning models to production APIs.
• Track model accuracy and update systems to improve performance.
• Work with product and business staff to launch AI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• 3 or more years of professional experience deploying machine learning models.
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with OpenCV and OCR tools.
• Knowledge of deep learning structures for text and image recognition.
• Experience using cloud providers like GCP, Azure, or AWS.

Nice to have

• Experience with quantization or optimizing models for mobile.
• Background in synthetic data generation or augmentation.
• History working with identity, security, or fraud detection systems.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations.
• Contributions to AI research or open-source projects.
