Mission Manager

About the role

Apex is looking for a Mission Manager to oversee the development lifecycle of our satellite buses. You will act as the central link between our clients and internal engineering teams to ensure project milestones are met.

What you'll do

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on the status of their satellite bus development.
• Align internal design, engineering, and manufacturing departments with client needs.
• Oversee project schedules to ensure all contractual milestones are hit on time.
• Spot and resolve potential project risks or delays.
• Interpret technical information for clients to ensure clear communication.
• Resolve client issues and work to improve internal project management systems.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person to handle export-controlled data.
• Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical project management within defense, aerospace, or the space sector.
• Experience handling complex technical projects under strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of space industry trends and satellite systems.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in customer service and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with project management software.

• Advanced degrees.
• PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certifications.
