About the role
Apex Technology Inc. is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer and Assistant Facility Security Officer to manage classified program requirements for our aerospace manufacturing operations. You will support the Director of Security in maintaining compliance with government standards while overseeing personnel clearances and facility security protocols.

What you'll do
- Administer the company security program to ensure compliance with DoD and IC requirements for sensitive, CUI, and compartmented data.
- Manage day-to-day classified security tasks including document control, visit requests, access rosters, and personnel briefings.
- Oversee employee clearance processing and conduct regular audits to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Support the Insider Threat Program through training, reporting, and behavioral awareness initiatives.
- Prepare for DCSA and sponsoring agency inspections and self-audits.
- Maintain physical security systems, including alarm responses and access controls, in accordance with UL 2050 and DoD standards.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Export Compliance teams to manage Technology Control Plans and export-controlled workflows.
- Act as the primary backup to the Facility Security Officer for government interfaces and daily operations.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and active TS clearance or TS with SCI eligibility.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IC and DoD security roles with increasing responsibility.
- Proficiency in NISPOM, SAP, SCI, and related government security regulations.
- Hands-on experience using DISS, NBIS, NISS, and other security databases.
- Practical knowledge of DD Form 254 documentation.
- DCSA/CDSE Certified Facility Security Officer.
- Ability to effectively resolve clearance and security-related issues.
- Strong professional communication skills for interaction with all management levels.
Nice to have
- Bachelor degree in Security Management, Information Security, or a related field.
- NCMS Industrial Security Professional certification.
- Experience with SCIF management, construction, and ICD 705 technical specifications.
- Background as a COMSEC Manager or experience maintaining COMSEC accounts.
- Previous experience within the aerospace or defense industry.
