Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer

About the role

You will join the DevOps and SRE team to build and maintain automation for our Kubernetes infrastructure. This position focuses on creating internal tooling to support reliable application deployments and managing cluster health across our environments.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Build automation tools to generate manifests and prevent manual configuration errors.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and security.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using Datadog and resolve production incidents.
• Conduct security audits and maintain documentation for cluster configurations.
• Partner with development teams to improve application deployment workflows.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain service reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience using languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including GKE, EKS, or RKE.
• Experience managing Kubernetes in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Experience with GitOps practices and CI/CD automation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, ContainerD, and Helm.
• Experience with major cloud providers such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
