Senior Data Product Manager

About the role

Ampcus Inc. is looking for a dedicated Senior Data Product Manager to spearhead the product strategy and execution for a key enterprise data platform. This position will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery, transforming business and client needs into a structured roadmap while collaborating with engineering, data, and business teams to create valuable data products.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Establish and manage the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise data platform.
• Collect, assess, and convert business and client needs into prioritized product features and user stories.
• Oversee and prioritize the product backlog to enhance business value.
• Lead release planning and ensure the timely execution of roadmap commitments.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, data, and business teams throughout the product development process.
• Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to align product priorities and expectations.
• Maintain data quality, governance, compliance, and platform standards.
• Monitor product performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive ongoing enhancements.
• Report on product progress, risks, dependencies, and significant decisions to executive leadership.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Promote the adoption of data products by ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product strategy, lifecycle management, and roadmap ownership.
• Skilled in backlog prioritization and release planning.
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and data product management.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and best practices in data management.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Product Ownership.
• Proficient in requirements gathering, user story development, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and product roadmapping software.
• Ability to manage executive stakeholders and communicate effectively with clients.
• Strong collaborative skills with business, technology, and data teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience managing enterprise data platforms or data-centric products.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Background in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven capability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is advantageous.
