About the role
The Sub-Same-Day team develops the core technology for rapid delivery promises across India and various international marketplaces. This role focuses on building high-scale, low-latency systems that determine delivery speed for customers in over 10 countries.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain services that operate with single-digit-millisecond latency to support delivery promises.
- Manage the full development lifecycle from initial requirements and architecture to production deployment and operational support.
- Coordinate with internal groups such as Promise, transportation, search, and DEX to align on technical goals.
- Maintain system health through monitoring, incident response, and proactive defect reduction.
- Perform code reviews and design assessments to guide junior engineers and improve overall technical standards.
- Participate in team initiatives like hackathons and internal technology knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on scaling and reliability.
- Minimum 1 year of experience designing and building large-scale, multi-threaded, or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C++, C#, or Perl.
- Demonstrated experience with Object Oriented Design.
Nice to have
- 3+ years of experience managing the complete software development lifecycle, including source control, build processes, and testing standards.
- Bachelor degree in computer science.
