Software Development Engineer, Amazon Brand Store

About the role

This position focuses on developing generative AI tools to change how brands interact with shoppers on Amazon. You will build full-stack applications that allow advertisers to create and optimize storefronts while improving the overall shopping experience.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Architect and manage brand-building features for both customer-facing and advertiser-facing platforms.
• Create and maintain full-stack applications and APIs that support store management.
• Integrate generative AI to automate store creation and performance analysis.
• Work with Product Managers, technical program managers, and other engineers to ship end-to-end solutions.
• Improve system reliability and reduce operational maintenance.
• Use data analysis to gain insights into customer behavior and system performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience excluding internships.
• 2+ years of experience designing system architecture, including scaling and reliability patterns.
• 1+ years of experience building large-scale, multi-threaded, or distributed systems using Java, C#, C++, or Perl.
• 1+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience managing the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and source control.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field.
