About the role

This role focuses on maintaining and advancing mission-critical services within Amazon Dedicated Clouds. You will build and deploy new services for air-gapped regions to support U.S. Intelligence and Defense agency customers.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production software issues.
• Create and maintain monitoring solutions.
• Perform ongoing software maintenance and system configuration.
• Write and implement code fixes using Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, and Python.
• Track technical challenges and drive them to resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams on various AWS projects.
• Enhance existing software and automate support workflows while documenting system architectures.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or CSSLP certification.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
• 1+ years of experience in system architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• 4+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience covering networking, storage, and operating systems.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Experience working within an Agile framework using Scrum.

Skills & tools

• Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, Python, PowerShell.
• Systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, OS).
• Monitoring and automation tools.
