About the role
The AWS Builder Acceleration team is a new organization dedicated to improving the daily workflows of over 20,000 internal engineers. You will design and implement tools that reduce operational toil and simplify the software development lifecycle across the entire AWS ecosystem.

What you'll do
- Pinpoint and rank the most significant technical hurdles that slow down software development at AWS.
- Break down intricate engineering challenges into manageable, scalable, and clean technical solutions.
- Work alongside the AWSBA, ASBX, and various internal builder teams to deploy and maintain your tools.
- Achieve consistent weekly progress while maintaining a focus on long-term systemic improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
- Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Java, C++, or C#, with a focus on object-oriented design.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading system design or architecture, specifically regarding scaling, reliability, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in full software development lifecycle practices, including source control, code reviews, testing, build processes, and operational standards.
Nice to have
- Practical experience developing software within the AWS environment.
- Background in creating large-scale AI-driven solutions.
- Experience developing tooling or services that support the software development lifecycle at scale.
