About the role

In this position, you will join the Neuron Foundation Tools Team at AWS, focusing on the development and enhancement of high-performance tools for monitoring and profiling machine learning applications. Your work will involve creating and maintaining the Neuron Profiler and related tools, which are essential for optimizing AI workloads on AWS's custom hardware.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy performance monitoring tools for machine learning applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective performance insights from our C++ compiler and runtime.
• Innovate to support multiple frameworks, including PyTorch, JAX, and XLA, enhancing the capabilities of the Neuron Profiler.
• Manage the complete development lifecycle of the Neuron Profiler and related tools, focusing on scalability and usability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
• At least 2 years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on design patterns and system reliability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Nice to have

• Over 3 years of experience with the complete software development lifecycle, including code reviews and testing processes.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Skills & tools

• Experience with AI/ML performance analysis tools, such as PyTorch Profiler or TensorFlow Profiler.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and optimization techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• The salary for this role ranges from $143,700 to $194,400 annually, with additional sign-on bonuses and stock options.
