About the role

The Hardware Engineering team at AWS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee quality and production scaling for our global cloud infrastructure. You will manage the lifecycle of manufacturing processes, working directly with external partners and internal teams to maintain high standards for our hardware products.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Manage the manufacturing launch and process scaling for new products across our international network.
• Oversee quality control initiatives with Original Design Manufacturers, Contract Manufacturers, and component suppliers.
• Provide direct technical assistance during product introductions.
• Perform root cause analysis to address and resolve customer escalations.
• Maintain ownership of process flows, Control Plans, and PFMEAs from initial launch through product end of life.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or sourcing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in manufacturing engineering for high-tech hardware or server platforms.

Nice to have

• Background in managing technical projects.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams to transition products from design concepts to full-scale production.
