Alpaca is seeking a Product Manager to enhance our internal operational efficiency and scalability. This role is crucial for transforming operational challenges into automated, streamlined solutions, supporting the company's significant growth. What you'll do

• Develop and manage the product strategy for Alpaca's internal operational workflows and tools.
• Identify and address complex operational issues, including those related to AML/KYC, reconciliations, corporate actions, and tax reporting.
• Design and implement automation strategies using internal tools and AI to enable operations teams to handle increased volume.
• Define key performance indicators and service level agreements for product success.
• Create detailed product specifications and collaborate with various teams to launch new tools.
• Establish data frameworks to guide project selection based on input from Risk, Sales, and Support.
• Work with Sales and Product to ensure operational capacity meets business objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend build versus buy decisions for core platform components.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Product Management or technical operations within FinTech, brokerage, or payments.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to measure product impact, manage risk, and influence senior stakeholders with data.
• Strong understanding of workflow automation and AI applications in financial operations.
• Functional knowledge of brokerage operations, such as settlements, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with broker-dealer platforms, clearing firms, or trading infrastructure, including post-trade processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis, understanding system interactions, and process mapping.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with brokerage operations, cost basis management, corporate actions, or security master systems.
• Familiarity with AI-driven automation solutions.
