Junior Frontend Engineer

Almedia is scaling rapidly as one of Europe's fastest-growing companies with the goal of becoming Germany's second bootstrapped unicorn. We operate a marketing platform serving over 70 million users and are looking for a junior engineer to help shape our frontend systems while accelerating their professional growth.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain frontend components using React as part of a collaborative team.
• Write clean, testable code while receiving mentorship from senior staff to improve your technical speed.
• Integrate external services for feature flagging and A/B testing to support data-driven product changes.
• Work alongside product and backend teams to turn business goals into functional technical solutions.
• Integrate AI assistants like Cursor, Claude, and Copilot into your daily development workflow.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working with React and Typescript, whether through professional roles, internships, bootcamps, or personal projects.
• A strong interest in understanding full-stack development, specifically with JS backends like NestJS.
• Commitment to writing high-quality, testable code and learning performance optimization techniques.
• A focus on user experience with the desire to build polished, functional interfaces.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
• A fast-paced, impact-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on increasing responsibility.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to React Native.
