Sales Engineer - Italian Speaking

About the role

Algolia is seeking a technical expert to join our go-to-market team and drive adoption of our search and discovery platform. You will serve as a primary technical advisor, helping prospects understand our architecture and building custom solutions that solve complex business challenges.

What you'll do

• Partner with account executives to manage the technical pre-sales cycle, including discovery, product demonstrations, and proof of concept projects.
• Build custom search applications and integrations using our APIs to demonstrate platform value.
• Address technical and business objections while translating complex concepts into clear value propositions for stakeholders.
• Act as the voice of the customer by relaying product feedback and requirements to our internal engineering and product teams.
• Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure a smooth transition and successful onboarding for new clients.
• Stay current on industry trends in search, discovery, SEO, and analytics to maintain thought leadership.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Italian and English.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, consulting, or product management, preferably within SaaS.
• Proven background in software development using front-end technologies like React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with back-end languages including Python, Java, Go, Swift, Objective-C, or Ruby.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Experience working in high-growth environments with $150M to $300M+ ARR.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in additional European languages, specifically Spanish.
• Background in e-commerce or the search industry.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or commercetools.
• Understanding of agentic AI concepts, including multi-agent orchestration, autonomous reasoning, or tool use.
• Knowledge of SEO and analytics.

Practical notes

• Total cash compensation range: 77,000 to 96,750 GBP per year.
• This role follows a hybrid-remote model based in London.
