About the role
Join Alan's Corporate team to help build and monitor the control systems that allow the company to operate safely and responsibly at scale. This role focuses on defining and implementing control frameworks, with an emphasis on automation and AI for early risk detection. You will contribute to a new generation of risk professionals, acting as a business partner rather than just a checker of boxes.

What you'll do
- Design and put into practice control frameworks for various processes, prioritizing reliability and scalability through AI and automation.
- Improve the system for identifying and tracking risks, and help develop future risk management tools.
- Conduct secondary reviews on areas with high risk.
- Lead efforts to ensure control documentation is accurate and easily shared with external partners.
- Support the management of audits from commercial partners and regulatory bodies.
- Spread risk management practices across the company, assisting teams like Insurance, Operations, Security, and Legal in creating risk mitigation plans.
- Develop resources to educate and empower teams on risk management, internal control, and regulatory compliance.
- Aid in identifying and recruiting new talent for the team.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in internal control or a risk-related position within insurance, a Big Four firm, or a regulated/rapidly expanding environment.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II and specific domain expertise (e.g., insurance operations, reserving, underwriting, reporting).
- Comfortable with AI and automation tools for scaling controls, and able to anticipate AI's impact on control processes.
- A mindset focused on building new solutions rather than just following existing procedures.
- A business-partner approach, working with product teams to solve control and risk issues.
- A precise and structured working style, comfortable with asynchronous communication.
- Must be legally eligible to work in France.
Nice to have
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions (France, Belgium, Spain, Canada/OSFI).
- Familiarity with the DORA framework.
- Exposure to HDS and ISO 27001.

Practical notes
Alan offers remote work flexibility but values in-person collaboration. While the role is preferably based in Paris, legal eligibility to work from France is the primary requirement.
