Join the Ecosystem team to build the platforms and integrations connecting Airwallex with essential customer software. This role focuses on developing secure, reliable experiences that simplify financial operations for businesses and unlock new use cases on the Airwallex business account. You will contribute to the growth and success of a global financial platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead the high-level design and long-term technical roadmap for the App Marketplace or Extension Framework.
- Design and implement core SDKs, webhooks, and UI-extension patterns for third-party developers.
- Establish and enforce rigorous internal coding standards, observability patterns, and security protocols.
- Champion the needs of external developers by building world-class documentation infrastructure, sandboxes, and tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the ecosystem platform.
- Build and integrate APIs to connect with external financial institutions and third-party platforms.
- Develop scalable solutions to support the ecosystem strategy.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver innovative features.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and provide input on new technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing Internet applications, large financial systems, or e-commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in coding or scripting languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python.
- Deep familiarity with the standard library, idiomatic usage, and best practices of your primary programming languages.
- Direct experience building or maintaining a public-facing developer platform, app marketplace, or extension framework.
Nice to have
- Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for managing complex business logic and microservice boundaries.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native tech stacks, including Docker, Kubernetes, and advanced observability tools.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM models to automate integration workflows or enhance developer tooling.
