Senior Manager, Marketing AI Operations
About the role
This position will drive the strategic implementation and operational management of AI within the marketing department. You will lead initiatives to automate workflows and enhance marketing effectiveness through AI-powered solutions, acting as a player-coach to guide both strategy and hands-on development.

What you'll do
- Lead the marketing team's strategy for AI agents and automated workflows, overseeing their selection, development, and adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build and deploy AI agents using platforms like Airtable, Hyperagent, and Claude to automate high-volume marketing tasks.
- Manage AI agents and associated skills as critical production systems, ensuring proper ownership, version control, and measurable output.
- Take charge of complex AI development projects and establish frameworks for evaluating, implementing, and governing AI responsibly.
- Improve AI proficiency across the marketing organization by clarifying practical applications and guiding investment focus.
- Supervise individual contributors responsible for MarTech, Marketing Operations, and Airtable campaign management systems, fostering their AI development skills while remaining hands-on.
- Enhance Marketing Operations to support predictable pipeline generation and efficient lead management through AI agents and automation.
- Contribute to the development of Airtable MarketingCentral as an intelligent operational layer for campaign briefing, scoping, prioritization, and handoffs.
- Define and manage the marketing technology stack, prioritizing consolidation and AI-native tools.
- Own high-priority cross-functional projects requiring a comprehensive understanding of marketing strategy, operations, and data.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI agents or automated workflows, with practical application of large language models to improve work processes.
- Background in marketing operations, including demand generation, lifecycle marketing, campaign and lead operations, and familiarity with MarTech tools such as Marketo and Salesforce.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, data modeling, APIs, integrations, and light scripting for system building and debugging.
- Prior experience leading Marketing Operations or Revenue Operations at a B2B SaaS company, with a focus on strategic impact beyond basic campaign support.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for executive audiences.
- Experience managing technical individual contributors and providing direction in ambiguously defined work areas.
- A systems-thinking approach to AI adoption, focusing on building infrastructure and workflows for team-wide utility.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments with evolving scope based on development capabilities.

- Benefits include restricted stock units and potential incentive compensation.
- For work locations in San Francisco, Mountain View, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range is $184,000 - $260,600 USD.
- For all other work locations (including remote), the base salary range is $166,000 - $234,800 USD.
