About the role
This position manages the financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Airbnb's global payments platform. You will lead high-stakes financial planning, provide analytical guidance to senior leadership, and ensure payment processing costs are accurately modeled and optimized.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Direct the forecasting, planning, and variance analysis for payment processing costs, including network, processor, and interchange fees.
- Collaborate with product and business leaders to create financial cases for new initiatives like alternative payment methods, pricing, and risk strategies.
- Manage financial modeling for payment volume and mix to determine their impact on the company P&L.
- Develop analytical frameworks that connect payments KPIs to financial outcomes.
- Prepare executive-level reporting and dashboards for the CFO and leadership team.
- Assist in the monthly metric forum by consolidating cross-functional inputs to track company priorities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, accounting, or similar analytical roles.
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited four-year university.
- Ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex financial recommendations.
- Experience querying large datasets and using AI-assisted tools for analysis.
- Ability to manage workstreams independently with high attention to detail.

Practical notes
- Salary range: $157,000 to $172,000 USD.
- Compensation includes potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
- You must reside in a state where Airbnb has a registered entity.
