About the role
Airalo is seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead the modernization of its finance operations. This role is central to driving significant improvements across critical areas like ERP implementation, process automation, and financial reporting. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our finance function as we scale globally.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the finance aspects of our ERP program, managing system integrators and vendors from initial requirements through to final implementation and post-cutover reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external delivery partners, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and commercial objectives are met.
- Guide design decisions for the entire finance value chain, including revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, intercompany transactions, consolidations, period-end close, treasury, tax, and accounts payable.
- Develop and manage the transformation roadmap and governance structure, including stakeholder alignment and driving user adoption.
- Redesign and automate core finance processes such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and Financial Planning & Analysis to accelerate the month-end close.
- Lead the strategy for data migration, including the chart of accounts, master data, and closing balances.
- Design the future state of our finance operating model across all entities, defining roles, controls, segregation of duties, and approval workflows.
- Deliver standardized financial dashboards and driver-based forecasts, aiming for a single source of truth and improved accuracy.
- Integrate finance into key company decision-making forums.
- Define and track the benefits of the transformation in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
- Report progress to senior leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Incorporate AI and automation opportunities into the design of finance processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance with a proven history of managing large-scale finance transformations.
- Experience leading an ERP implementation from start to finish as the finance lead, with familiarity in SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Extensive experience in process re-engineering and automation across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Strong background in controllership and internal controls, including SOX/SOX-lite, IT General Controls, and audit readiness.
- Demonstrated program and change management skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams with external advisors and internal teams.
- Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a background in Big 4 or consulting transformation.
- Ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders both within and outside the finance department.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in the telecom, MVNO, SaaS, marketplace, or other usage-based/partner settlement revenue models.
- Experience implementing AI and automation within finance processes such as closing, controls, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Familiarity with modern data and business intelligence tools like dbt, BigQuery, and BI dashboards, as well as finance data architecture.
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-jurisdiction environments; experience with M&A integration is a plus.
