You will define the technical strategy and roadmap for tax technology within our global FinTech ecosystem. This role involves translating complex financial requirements into scalable, compliant, and high-performance system architectures.

What you'll do

• Direct the long-term architectural strategy for tax technology, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and finance teams.
• Design end-to-end technical models for tax engines, data flows, and API integrations.
• Perform hands-on technical work including system design, proof-of-concepts, and critical component implementation.
• Lead architectural reviews to ensure high standards for reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Evaluate the current technical landscape to identify risks and define modernization paths.
• Establish engineering standards and governance practices that balance velocity with quality.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers to improve technical fundamentals and production ownership.
• Communicate complex trade-offs to stakeholders across the organization.
• Apply AI tools to enhance development productivity and system architecture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering tax-related technology projects or working in closely related finance domains.
• Deep knowledge of VAT, GST, corporate tax, withholding tax, compliance workflows, tax calculation, reporting, reconciliation, and audit processes.
