Senior Finance Project Manager - New Business Initiatives

About the role

Agoda is seeking a Senior Finance Project Manager to join the New Business Initiatives team. This role involves leading the financial implementation of strategic company projects, ensuring they are sustainable and scalable. You will act as a key partner across various departments, providing financial insights and driving process improvements.

What you'll do

• Manage and execute diverse company-wide strategic initiatives.
• Analyze the financial impact of new projects on various finance functions, including accounting, tax, operations, and treasury.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, optimize workflows, and resolve conflicts arising from changing priorities.
• Maintain consistent communication and alignment between project teams and other stakeholders.
• Represent finance in cross-functional discussions, advocating for financial requirements in product and business roadmaps.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to achieve milestones.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Ensure smooth project launches and prompt resolution of any post-launch issues.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of overall experience in finance or accounting.
• At least 5 years of finance project management experience, specifically with exposure to P2P, O2C, R2R, or Treasury projects.
• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, or another field combined with professional accounting qualifications.
• Proven experience managing stakeholders and influencing decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process integration, reorganization, or transformation initiatives in dynamic environments.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multicultural, and demanding work setting.
• Comfortable navigating uncertainty and experimentation in a high-velocity environment.
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving, influencing, and change management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset and high learning agility.

Nice to have

• Background in the tech industry or e-commerce.
• Experience in finance operations and business analysis.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced industry or consulting firm.
• Familiarity with finance tools and processes, including accounting and reporting knowledge.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product and IT teams.
• Experience working across various finance functions such as accounting, operations, treasury, and FP&A.
