Key facts
What you'll do
- Create and run test plans for individual robotic components and complete integrated systems.
- Verify hardware and software performance on actual robotic platforms.
- Build Python scripts and automation frameworks to increase test coverage.
- Write C++ code to support low-level tooling and system integration.
- Investigate system behavior to resolve issues involving motion planning, kinematics, control, and perception.
- Troubleshoot complex errors such as trajectory instability, joint limit violations, and singularities.
- Validate system configurations using URDF models and coordinate transformations.
- Assist in the creation of application demos and customer-facing showcases.
- Partner with mechanical, electronics, and software departments to replicate bugs and verify solutions.
- Maintain documentation for test results, defect tracking, and system performance metrics.
- Participate in field testing, prototype validation, and integration tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in system validation, integration, or robotics testing.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and robot interaction.
- Solid understanding of robotics fundamentals including dynamics, kinematics, and motion constraints.
- Experience validating integrated software and hardware modules.
- Ability to manage regression, edge-case, and real-world scenario testing.
- Strong debugging capabilities across both hardware and software layers.
- Familiarity with Git and JIRA for issue tracking.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience creating robotics demos for customers or internal teams.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with motion planning, perception systems, or sensor integration.
- Background in HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) or SIL (Simulation-in-the-loop) testing.
- Understanding of robotics safety standards.
- Skills in data visualization or performance benchmarking.
- Proficiency in German or Mandarin.
