This role supports the expanding project pipeline by providing detailed electrical estimates. You will contribute to accurate bidding efforts within a collaborative team.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Calculate electrical quantities from construction plans and drawings.
- Create precise cost estimates for various project types, including multifamily, commercial, and light industrial.
- Help prepare and compile bid packages.
- Work with estimators and project managers during the bidding phase.
- Examine project specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
- Organize estimate documentation and keep precise project records.
- Support multiple bids concurrently while meeting deadlines.
- Learn and adapt to the company's internal estimating procedures.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience estimating US construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent estimating background.
- Experience estimating electrical construction projects.
- Solid understanding of commercial and multifamily construction processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently with little oversight.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working full-time during Pacific Time business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience estimating large multifamily, commercial, or light industrial electrical projects.
- Experience managing several bids at once.
- Ability to identify ways to improve estimating processes.
- A portfolio or work samples showing estimating accuracy.
