Technical Account Manager

About the role

AfterShip is a post-purchase SaaS provider helping ecommerce merchants automate their post-checkout workflows. This role sits on the Omnichannel team, focusing on the technical onboarding and long-term success of merchants launching on TikTok Shop.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Manage the end-to-end technical onboarding process for merchants starting on TikTok Shop using AfterShip Channels.
• Handle integration and configuration between merchant storefronts and TikTok Shop, including syncing inventory, products, and orders.
• Resolve technical issues related to SKU mapping, bundles, and variants.
• Navigate TikTok Shop API constraints, whitelist requirements, and fulfillment or returns policies.
• Train merchants on platform features to ensure they can manage their operations independently.
• Aim for a healthy, live merchant state within 30 days of onboarding.
• Support merchants with listing optimization and the adoption of AfterShip Feed and Affiliates.
• Collaborate with Product, GTM, and Solutions Architecture teams to relay merchant feedback and improve the product.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as implementation, solutions, or technical account management within ecommerce or SaaS.
• Technical fluency with APIs, data mapping, and structured troubleshooting.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for interactions with merchants and platform partners.
• Ownership mindset regarding account health and growth.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Shopify and TikTok Shop, including Seller Center, catalog management, and fulfillment workflows.
• Knowledge of merchant growth strategies on TikTok Shop, including affiliate operations and content-driven commerce.
• Experience working with enterprise-level merchants.

• Compensation: USD $92,000 - $150,000 on-target earnings.
