Solutions Engineer

About the role

AfterShip is seeking a technical expert to drive the expansion of our Omnichannel product. You will serve as a primary technical advisor, working alongside sales and customer success teams to design and implement solutions for enterprise and mid-market clients.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery sessions to identify client goals and operational constraints.
• Create and present customized product demonstrations, solution designs, and proofs of concept.
• Validate technical fit by working directly with APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
• Define architecture, workflows, and success criteria for new implementations.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams by providing customer feedback.
• Assist in the creation of statements of work and implementation plans.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical consulting within B2B SaaS.
• Proficiency with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and REST.
• Experience managing technical evaluations and implementations for mid-market or enterprise customers.
• Ability to design and debug multi-system integrations involving ERP, OMS, and eCommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with event-driven workflows and modern SaaS architecture.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and customer success.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Mandarin.
• Experience with eCommerce, logistics, or marketplace ecosystems.
• Exposure to frontend or backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, or React.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security compliance standards like GDPR.

• This is a remote-first role with hybrid-flexible options in hub locations.
