AfterShip is seeking a strategic leader to drive its growth through key partnerships and acquisitions. This role will identify and execute high-impact opportunities that shape the company's future trajectory.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Define strategic focus areas for partnerships, deals, and new ventures, pinpointing where to achieve the greatest impact.
- Develop and manage a focused pipeline of significant opportunities across platforms, marketplaces, logistics, and technology, transforming abstract concepts into actionable plans with clear upside and risks.
- Oversee the entire deal process from initial identification through negotiation, closing, and implementation, leading discussions with senior external parties and structuring agreements that benefit the business.
- Collaborate with Product, Revenue, Operations, Finance, Legal, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and drive execution of initiatives, even when the path is not straightforward.
- Establish methods for evaluating, prioritizing, and tracking opportunities, creating clear accountability and measuring outcomes.
- Build the corporate development function, with the potential to grow and manage a small team over time.
Requirements
- 10 to 15+ years of experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, or similar fields, with a documented history of leading and closing complex, high-value deals with large US companies.
- Experience operating at both strategic and execution levels, comfortable shaping opportunities and seeing them through to completion in multi-stakeholder, high-pressure settings.
- Strong negotiation abilities, experience in fast-paced technology environments, and familiarity with platforms, marketplaces, logistics, or broader technology ecosystems.
- Ability to work effectively across global teams and different time zones.
