Staff Product Designer, Agentic Experiences

About the role

This position leads the design strategy for how Affirm integrates AI-driven agentic solutions into the consumer experience. You will build a hybrid interface that combines traditional search with proactive AI discovery to redefine how users interact with our financial products.

• Lead design initiatives for agentic and AI-powered consumer features.
• Create conversational and proactive patterns that anticipate user needs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience with a focus on shipping complex, high-stakes consumer products.
• Proven history of designing conversational or agentic AI interfaces.
• Advanced prototyping skills for non-linear and multi-modal user flows.
• Understanding of Human-Centered AI principles including explainability and system feedback.
• Ability to navigate complex financial product constraints while maintaining user trust.

Practical notes

• Pay Grade: N
• Equity Grade: 12
• Base pay for CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT: $195,000 - $255,000 per year.
• Base pay for all other US states: $173,000 - $233,000 per year.
• Benefits include 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents.
• Compensation includes equity rewards and monthly stipends for tech, food, and lifestyle needs.
• Employees typically start at the beginning of the pay range.
