As a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for Commercial and Product Partnership teams. You will manage large cross-functional initiatives that span engineering, product, and commercial stakeholders. This role represents Affirm's technology and engineering capabilities to key partners such as Shopify and Stripe. You will guide strategic decisions related to integration, platform evolution, and tooling. The position involves supporting ad hoc partner requests and managing long-term technical programs. Success requires a balance of deep expertise and hands-on problem solving.
Your daily work will involve designing detailed project plans for complex integrations. You will define solution architecture, timeline estimates, and task breakdowns. Testing strategy and clear documentation will be central to your approach. You will answer day-to-day technical questions from partner stakeholders. Creating integration guides, documentation, and support materials will be a regular responsibility. You will act as the subject matter expert for internal and external teams. When challenges arise, you will manage escalations while protecting project momentum. You will propose recommendations for integration strategy and infrastructure. Optimizing user experience across partner journeys will be a core focus. You will explore the overlap between commercial strategy and partnership capabilities. You will also contribute to external documentation that strengthens the partner experience.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience in solutions engineering, partner engineering, sales engineering, or related fields. You can read and understand multiple programming languages to support debugging and collaboration. Experience with ecommerce data models and transaction flows is essential. You are fluent in JSON, HTML, REST APIs, and webhook implementations. You have worked with systems that integrate frontend UX with backend services. Familiarity with developer platforms and third-party APIs is required. You use alerting and monitoring tools to track integration health and performance. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. You manage timelines and align internal and external stakeholders. A passion for transforming consumer banking through honest products is expected.
Experience with ecommerce platforms, payment processors, payment gateways, and digital wallets is valuable. This role does not require prior experience with specific vendors, but exposure to their ecosystems is helpful. You should be comfortable navigating environments with multiple integration patterns. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to align on roadmaps. The role demands ownership of integration quality and reliability. You will mentor peers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
Practical information includes a remote position based in Canada. The engagement is full-time with a competitive compensation package. Base pay ranges from $133,000 to $183,000 per year. Equity rewards may be available through Affirm Holdings, Inc. Benefits include health, wellness, and technology stipends.
