About the role
Affirm is looking for a Compliance Lead to join the Loss Mitigation and Furnishing Compliance team. You will provide regulatory guidance to internal teams and manage compliance programs related to servicing, collections, and repayments.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Monitor changes in regulations affecting servicing, collections, and repayments to ensure company policies remain compliant.
- Advise the Servicing, Collections, and Repayments departments on compliance requirements for new products and initiatives.
- Identify and manage compliance issues, including the development of corrective action plans with cross-functional partners.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing training and guidance to staff at all levels.
- Create and maintain compliance policies while integrating new legal requirements into existing frameworks.
- Develop training materials regarding FCRA and FDCPA standards.
- Build monitoring systems to track compliance metrics and report status updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in business, law, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in compliance and issues management, specifically within servicing operations.
- Deep knowledge of FCRA and FDCPA regulations.
- Ability to research and investigate complex regulatory trends to build subject matter expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to propose actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholder relationships and conveying sensitive information.

Practical notes
- Pay Grade: J
- Equity Grade: 5
- Base salary (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT): $130,000 - $180,000 per year.
- Base salary (all other US states): $115,000 - $165,000 per year.
- Compensation includes equity, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology, and 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
