Senior Software Engineer at Aeratechnology.
About the role
Aeratechnology is seeking a developer to join the core team responsible for the Aera Decision Cloud. You will focus on the high-performance calculation engine, ensuring the platform maintains its status as a leader in Decision Intelligence.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with product teams to translate design requirements into executable logic.
- Build and maintain high-performance, low-latency code for the calculation engine.
- Explain technical architecture and complex concepts to stakeholders and peers.
- Champion a culture centered on code quality and operational correctness.
Requirements
- Extensive background in backend software engineering.
- Deep proficiency in Core Java, specifically regarding threading, memory allocation, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to write low-latency Java code.
- Expertise in at least one of these domains: database engine development, compiler design, or investment banking front-office systems.
- Experience with language design.
- Solid understanding of JVM internals.
- Practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code.
Nice to have
- Background in building planning software.
- Experience working in database engines, compilers, or low-latency financial systems.
- Familiarity with Spring.
- Knowledge of multi-dimensional modeling.
- Understanding of Lambda Architecture.
