About the role
Adyen is a financial technology platform serving global clients like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. We are looking for a Staff Product Experience Designer to join our Product Experience (PX) organization, a team of full-stack builders managing end-to-end product discovery, research, design, and content.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage core experience logic across product suites to resolve ambiguous gaps and ensure global scalability.
- Collaborate with Product and Technical Leads (GPMs, VP, Solution Lead) to define long-term strategy, balancing user needs with technical and business requirements.
- Define and maintain the global PX Quality Bar by building reusable infrastructure and adaptive interface patterns to reduce systemic debt.
- Mentor senior PX staff to improve decision-making and craft standards without relying on traditional management hierarchies.
- Create knowledge-sharing systems and forums to help geographically dispersed teams scale independently.
- Act as a central point of alignment to reduce complexity and dependencies across different solution areas.
- Research and implement emergent technologies, specifically AI and LLMs, to improve design frameworks and operational output.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in designing complex, large-scale systems or frameworks.
- Proven ability to drive impact across multiple product streams.
- Experience partnering with senior business and technical stakeholders to translate trade-offs into clear narratives.
- Ability to design the systems that govern user journeys rather than just the journeys themselves.
- Skill in coaching senior peers through architectural standards and strategic influence.
- Capability to transform undefined organizational challenges into executable, scalable frameworks.
