About the role
Abnormal AI protects major global enterprises from sophisticated email and collaboration-based attacks. The Threat Narrative team is responsible for translating complex detection signals into clear, actionable insights for our customers. You will build end-to-end features that help users understand and respond to threats using GenAI and LLM-powered systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Build and maintain fullstack features for the customer portal, internal analyst tools, and QBR-facing outputs.
- Develop APIs and services that transform attack data and LLM outputs into user-facing narratives.
- Create data models and contracts to ensure threat decisions are explainable and intuitive.
- Write and maintain production-grade Python/Django and React/Typescript code.
- Manage service reliability through observability, alerting, and incident response.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Threat Intelligence teams to refine the user experience of our detection platform.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to system architecture improvements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience shipping fullstack web applications in cloud-native environments.
- Proficiency in Python and Django or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases such as Postgres.
- Ability to build modern, data-heavy frontends using React and Typescript.
- Experience designing APIs and data models for complex applications.
- Familiarity with debugging production systems using logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Experience with AI development tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating LLM or GenAI features into production workflows.
- Background in cybersecurity, specifically email or collaboration security.
- Exposure to big data tools like Spark, Databricks, Airflow, or Kafka.
- Experience working on cross-functional initiatives involving shared components or data contracts.
