About the role
Join a growing team focused on securing enterprise identities. This role involves building and scaling backend services that continuously assess and protect identity configurations across various platforms. You will contribute to the evolution of our Identity Security Posture Management product.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and deliver backend solutions from data modeling to API implementation for well-defined product requirements.
- Contribute to the architectural design of core identity security systems and author technical design documents.
- Construct and scale high-performance backend services using Go, including event-driven systems and APIs.
- Design and optimize database schemas for large-scale, multi-tenant identity data.
- Implement event-driven workflows using Kafka for asynchronous processing and continuous evaluation.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering leads to define scope and deliver quarterly objectives.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software development experience, with approximately 2 years focused on production backend services.
- Extensive production experience with Go, including writing idiomatic services with clean design patterns and thorough testing.
- Demonstrated system design skills for building and operating scalable, multi-tenant, event-driven distributed systems.
- Practical experience with Kafka or comparable high-throughput event streaming technologies.
- Strong command of SQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for multi-tenant environments.
- Effective communication skills for discussing technical trade-offs and collaborating with team members.
- Ability to make decisions and iterate quickly with incomplete information.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and tools.
Nice to have
- Experience in identity security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), or security posture management.
- Background in cybersecurity products.
- Experience with gRPC/Protobuf API design.
- Production-level React and TypeScript skills for occasional front-end contributions.
