What you'll do

• Guide the CEO and executive team on clinical strategy and how our care model is presented externally.
• Develop the clinical narrative for Abby Care across various care areas, tailoring it for health plans, regulators, and clinical professionals.
• Act as the primary clinical representative for Abby Care when engaging with payers, health systems, state regulators, and industry groups.
• Lead the strategy for generating and publishing evidence of our outcomes, working with analytics and operations teams.
• Represent Abby Care at industry events, conferences, and advisory groups, building our thought leadership platform.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD or DO) with current or recent patient care experience and board certification in a relevant field such as internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or palliative care.
• Established presence and reputation in home-based care, value-based care, Medicaid, or complex population health, demonstrated through prior senior medical roles or public thought leadership.
• Proven ability to connect clinical results to commercial success.
• Strong external communication skills, including a track record of publications, speaking engagements, and comfort with media interactions.
• Familiarity with how health plans assess clinical performance, including metrics like HEDIS, CAHPS, risk adjustment, total cost of care, and value-based arrangements.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and pioneering new approaches in a developing field.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across commercial, operations, product, and data teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Chief Medical Officer or senior Medical Director role at a health plan, health system, or digital health company.
