Senior Associate, Research & Market Strategy

About the role

Abby Care is building an AI-native platform to support family-led home care. This role sits within the Expansion & Strategic Initiatives team, where you will act as the primary expert on the regulatory and market landscapes that dictate our growth. You will produce the intelligence required to enter new states, track competitors, and manage the pipeline for potential acquisitions.

What you'll do

• Analyze state-level Medicaid programs and policies 6 to 12 months ahead of market entry.
• Maintain an internal library of state policies, including reimbursement models, eligibility criteria, and operational requirements.
• Monitor and report on competitor positioning, market shifts, and strategic developments.
• Identify and qualify potential acquisition partners to support market expansion.
• Prepare and submit Medicaid applications to meet launch deadlines.
• Conduct readiness assessments to inform executive go/no-go decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in research-heavy roles such as market intelligence, policy research, corporate development, or healthcare strategy.
• Ability to become a subject matter expert in complex, regulated environments.
• Experience managing and updating internal databases or knowledge assets.
• Capability to synthesize dense regulatory information into actionable business insights.
• Proven track record of working independently to meet strict deadlines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Medicaid or state-level healthcare programs.
• Experience preparing regulatory or government program applications.
