Join a rapidly expanding defense engineering team focused on counter-drone technology. This individual contributor role involves automating fleet deployments, building efficient CI/CD pipelines, and managing internal tools. You will ensure software, hardware, and mechanical engineers operate at peak efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Automate hardware fleet deployments and resolve complex issues across software, hardware, edge compute, and networking.
- Develop and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, manage repositories, and build test environments, simulation harnesses, and release pipelines.
- Automate engineering tasks using AI workflows, create internal AI agents, and configure custom Claude skills to boost team productivity.
- Manage internal system integrations, configure SSO/SAML policies, and oversee identity and access controls.
- Provision and maintain infrastructure using composable configurations across cloud, lab, and developer workstation environments.
- Implement security best practices, access controls, and repository governance to comply with defense and export control standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or systems administration.
- Proficient in Linux shell environments with a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and system diagnostics.
- Solid experience with configuration management tools, modern build pipelines, and GitHub Actions workflow development.
- Experience building or integrating custom LLM tools, Claude skills, or AI agents into daily workflows.
- Resourceful self-starter comfortable operating independently, taking ownership of ambiguous tasks, and navigating changing priorities.
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (Orin, JetPack) or embedded Linux edge targets.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to submit to a background check due to ITAR export control requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated defense environment (ITAR, CMMC, or similar compliance).
- Cloud administration experience with Azure and familiarity with Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
