Staff Software Engineer

About the role

The Core Integrations team is seeking a technical leader to guide the architecture and implementation of our integration platform. You will function as a force multiplier, setting engineering standards and driving the adoption of AI-native development practices across the organization.

What you'll do

• Establish technical roadmaps spanning multiple quarters and resolve systemic issues before they impact production.
• Mentor engineers at the II, III, and Staff levels to improve their technical judgment and output.
• Define and implement team-wide AI workflows, including prompt libraries and internal training sessions.
• Evaluate new AI tools for the software development lifecycle, ensuring code quality and mitigating hallucinations.
• Lead architecture decisions that affect multiple services and teams while aligning stakeholders on engineering standards.
• Manage production reliability by defining service level objectives and leading post-mortem analyses.
• Communicate complex system designs and integration failures clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Requirements

• 9+ years of professional Java experience with deep knowledge of JVM tuning, concurrency, garbage collection, and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in using AI assistants across the full development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing and documentation.
• Experience owning codebases in multiple languages and the ability to select the appropriate tool for the job.
• Strong background in cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Proven ability to design and operate scalable, production-grade distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience building partner or marketplace API platforms.
• Familiarity with B2B data infrastructure or CRM and MarTech ecosystems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or Outreach.
• Background in designing developer-facing integration features like OAuth flows, webhooks, or partner SDKs.
• History of leading large-scale engineering initiatives, such as platform migrations or observability overhauls.
• Status as an active open source contributor or maintainer.
