Join a team dedicated to transforming healthcare technology by developing systems for clinical trials. This role involves leading the creation of scalable backend services for the BX platform. You will guide engineers in building cloud-native, Python-based systems crucial for clinical research.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and high-quality client-side code.
- Provide accurate project status tracking, reporting, and estimations.
- Gather requirements, confirm team understanding, and maintain relevant documentation.
- Execute tasks according to current methodologies and maintain high quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user needs and develop solutions.
- Manage projects from initial technical design through to successful launch.
- Lead the development of Python backend services on AWS.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases.
- Architect Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth cloud-to-cloud integrations for the BX platform.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a full stack engineer.
- Experience engineering software systems of medium to large scope and complexity.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience building frontend and backend applications at scale.
- Proficiency in the English language.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of source control tools.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (inheritance, polymorphism, classes, instances, properties).
- Knowledge of protocols like HTTP, and serialization formats like JSON and XML.
- Knowledge of document databases.
- Experience with Unit testing.
