This role focuses on shaping the future of developer education by creating engaging and accessible learning experiences. You will develop content that meets developers where they are, leveraging modern learning trends to drive awareness and adoption of 1Password's tools.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and build practical, code-driven examples that teach developers how to use 1Password products effectively in real-world scenarios.
- Create clear, approachable, and easy-to-follow educational materials that address common developer challenges.
- Establish and communicate best practices for utilizing 1Password's developer tools.
- Develop and deliver interactive sessions, presentations, and other content for in-person events and conferences.
- Guide and support internal teams and community members in creating and publishing developer-focused educational content.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of different educational approaches and prioritize initiatives for maximum reach and impact.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in technical fields such as software engineering, platform engineering, developer relations, or solutions engineering, with a strong understanding of current development workflows.
- At least 3 years of experience creating educational content and programs for developers, including tutorials, documentation, presentations, or workshops.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, demonstrated through various formats like tutorials, videos, and technical assets.
- Proven ability to collaborate with platform teams to enhance content usability, searchability, and AI compatibility.
- Experience using data to refine documentation, evaluate content strategies, identify knowledge gaps, and increase user engagement.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with teams like technical product marketing, customer support, and subject matter experts.

- Experience working with security-focused developer communities or products, such as identity management, authentication, or DevSecOps.
