Senior Developer Community Manager

About the role

This position focuses on building and nurturing 1Password's developer community. You will be instrumental in fostering engagement and driving awareness for our developer tools through authentic technical conversations and advocacy.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Cultivate developer interest in 1Password's tools by participating in technical discussions on platforms like LinkedIn, X, and Reddit.
• Establish and maintain welcoming online spaces for developers to connect with 1Password and each other, including on GitHub and Slack.
• Gather insights from community interactions and relay them to product teams for improvement.
• Develop resources and training to empower other 1Password employees to engage effectively with the community.
• Recognize and celebrate active community members through dedicated programs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in technical roles such as software engineering, platform engineering, community management, or solution engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex community situations with empathy and good judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in social media, GitHub, and project tracking tools.
• Proven experience organizing online and in-person events or asynchronous projects.
• Experience identifying and advocating for community needs and feedback within an organization.
